Alumni Sharing Series [May 2024]

The Department of Electrical Engineering recently held another Alumni Sharing Series event, this time featuring Wowo Watumas, ST, an alumnus from the class of ’95. The event, titled “The Application of Physics in Photography and Videography,” aimed to provide students with insights into how physics concepts are applied in the fields of photography and videography. Wowo Watumas, who currently works as an Engineer and High-Speed Video Camera Instructor, shared his experiences and knowledge on various physics principles essential for producing high-quality images and videos. The material covered included discussions on light, lenses, sensors, and effective shooting techniques. The event was attended by enthusiastic students, faculty, and alumni who engaged actively in each session. Through this event, participants are expected to apply the physics knowledge they have acquired in their coursework to more practical and creative fields such as photography and videography.
